There are various other versions of "universal accents" scripts on these forums, though. I like this version because even though its long, its simple and I can more or less understand it and tweak it now and then. I typed this out with help and info from this thread:Īnd looked up the latin-1 supplemental unicodes for the various french accents. To get the letter, character, sign or symbol '': ( letter e with acute accent or e-acute ) on computers with Windows operating system: 1) Press the 'Alt' key on your keyboard, and do not let go. I just noticed the umlaut script, but that is not really quite the same thing. A first combination to obtain the desired accent and a second to write the capital letter.
